Adam Herron focuses on fiduciary litigation, representing clients in disputes involving inheritances, trusts, estates, guardianships, and business entities.  Throughout his career, Adam has represented parties in will contests, contested heirships, common-law-spouse claims, disagreements over interpreting and effectuating wills and trusts, and probate-related disputes. Adam is also a capable appellate lawyer and has represented parties in the courts of appeals and the Supreme Court of Texas. Adam also enjoys dispute avoidance, counseling clients on inheritance rights, fiduciary duties, negotiations with family members, uncontested will probates and heirships, the guardianship process, and trust and estate administration.

Adam joined Ruffner Schoenbaum Murphy PLLC in 2022 to further hone his skills and continue practicing in those areas.  When he’s not in court or at his desk, Adam is actively involved in the legal community:  judging mock-trial competitions, presenting at and attending continuing-legal-education courses, and participating in state- and local-bar events. For several years, Adam served as a board member of both the Civil Litigation Section and the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Austin Bar.

While he was born and raised in Minnesota, Adam has called Texas home since 2011, when he moved to Waco to attend Baylor University School of Law. After graduation, Adam moved to East Austin, where he still lives with his dog Carter.
